Strength, Mobility, and Nutrition Class

Very late notice, but due to some of our fighters being in action tomorrow night, I’ve decided to replace tomorrow morning’s sparring session with a mobility/prehab workout, and after a few questions from people in the gym, a short talk on nutrition fundamentals.

We’re meeting at 10.15am in the gym. I’ll take you through a 30  minute nutrition and lifestyle talk. This will cover the basics of how to select a nutrition plan to suit your lifestyle, how to eat around your training, and how to manage your weight goals. We’ll also cover supplements and their role, as well as correct hydration and rest.

After this, I’ll take you through a 40 minute mobility and “prehab” routine. This will cover stretching and mobility training for the most common injuries in combat sports- namely knees, hips, spine, and shoulders. From there, we’ll move on to an injury prevention strength routine. A lot of people have asked me about knees, shoulders, and neck of late, and I’ll cover strengthening exercises for these.

It’s something a little different, so I hope you an make it down.

By the way if you’re a non-member, and want to come down, you can pay the drop-in rate of €12.

We’ll be there from 10.15am until 11.30am.
