Kyuzo Kids Squad in Action!

Congrats to our fantastic kids who competed at the East Coast Classic last Sunday! We’re very proud of each and every one of you, whether ou took home a gold or whether it wasn’t your day (this time)!

We hope you had fun and enjoyed your day, and we’re looking forward to seeing you back, working hard in training at your next session. Here are the results and a short report!

We had eight competitors:

Sean Connolly – Gold White belt 4-6yrs
Charlie Ennis-Brandon- Bronze White belt 4-6yrs

Eamonn O’Nuailain- Bronze White belt 7-8yrs
Reuben Oglesby- Bronze Grey belt 7-8yrs
Jaydyn Butler- Silver grey belt 7-8yrs

Ronan Kilbride- Conlon- Grey belt 9-10yrs
Sean Herbert- White belt 9-10yrs

Joshua Maher- Silver Orange belt 13-14yrs

Our goal with children’s competitions is to make sure that they have a good time, experience the “pressures” of competing in front of a crowd against a strange opponent, and to make sure that they behave in a manner befitting a martial artist. All of our guys did Kyuzo proud and displayed excellent technique and bravery.

A special well done to Eamonn who picked himself up after getting hurt in his first match to fight and claim a bronze medal in his second, and to Sean Herbert who despite not getting a win today took on his division like a boss!

Kyuzo has regular children’s classes for:

Nursery age- 4, 5, and 6 years old

Kids- 7, 8, and 9 years old

and Youth, 10-14 years old.

We also have older teen groups.

If you have a child who you believe will benefit from our martial arts programmes, contact us now at or see our Facebook Page
