Children’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open

The Annual Kids BJJ Open will take place in DCU on Saturday April 2nd.

This is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition for children from age 4 to age 17, and will be broken into categories by:

  • age
  • belt
  • weight

Our kids are really looking forward to the event and the organisers are committing 100% of the funds to Temple Street Children’s hospital.

There’ll also be a BJJ Beard Shave event at the competition. Coach Barry is one of the many Irish BJJ fighters growing his beard only to have it shaved off on the day. You can sponsor Barry (whose wife and children have never seen him clean shaven) using the sponsorship card in the gym.

3 Steps to Register your child!
Registration is electronic and prepaid, so you must be registered in advance of the event.

Step 1- Weight your child in their gi and belt in kilogrammes

Step 2- Fill out the registration form in the link below

Step 3- Pay using PayPal (you can just use a debit card too, no need for a Paypal account)

The payment link for registration is here. If you need any more information on how to register your child for the event, please contact us in the gym or Coach Barry at
